A Day of Unexpected Surprises #4
Ok, so this wasn’t the best surprise. The whole reason for coming to Waco was to visit the Magnolia Marketplace. However, it was also spring break for all of Texas and even though we didn’t get there until 4 in the afternoon, it was really crowed with lines to get in the stores, the bakery (down the block) and for food. We walked around it, marveled at how big it was, how many aspects to it there were and what an amazing place they have created, but didn’t stay long. Happy to say that although the governor has lifted the mask requirement, nearly everyone we saw, even outside, were wearing masks, unless they were eating. Still, that many people in one place was freaking me out a bit. We were tired, thirsty for the Dr. Pepper in the car, along with Tiko, and ready to head to Austin! I guess at this point, I should explain that the Tesla has a “Dog Mode”. It keep the temperature at whatever you set it and then throws a giant message on the screen saying “Don’t worry, my owner will be right back and it’s a comfortable 72 degrees in here”! This is an AMAZINGLY handy feature, especially since Tiko would much rather hang out in the car than be around people in crowds.
