Tesla Knows Best
Although I had planned our trip carefully, using an app called Plug Share, from the start, Tesla had other ideas. We stopped to charge much more often, but for shorter periods. It turns out, they know better that you can’t or don’t want to sit in the car for 3-4 hours. So, usually, it would have us stop every 150 miles or so, which is really perfect for us. On day two, March 12th, another long day, Tesla had us stopping in Sulpher Springs, TX. As we came off the interstate and started passing these sad looking houses, we though “where the hell are we going to be charging?!?” Then, all of a sudden, we were in the middle of this charming little town with brick streets lined with twinkling lights and tons of restaurants and shops. It was like the Texas version of Nashville, IN! We were so enchanted, we decided to stay for dinner.
