ANNIE!!! Oh, How We’ve Missed you!

Cheryl Ann aka Annie and I grew up together, graduated High School and she was my maid of honor. We have been friends since we were in Campfire Girls as Bluebirds (6 years old), weathered orchestra (she viola then fiddle, me violin and never good) and softball and our love of Marshall Tucker and Charlie Daniels in the age of disco. She introduced me to The Soap Shop in Broad Ripple and is the reason I have such great skin. We both did a shit-ton of babysitting and spent our money buying albums at Peach’s records. My first and only time getting drunk-sick was with her on screwdrivers. She was always there for me and the three of us traveled together over New Years Eve, more than once. Eventually, husband Vivek and work took them all over the US and we didn’t see each other much. But ours is a friendship that can pick right back up where it left off, even if that is decades between. I value our friendship so much and hope the time between seeing each other it MUCH shorter. I love you, Friend and so glad we got to see you and Vivek in your beautiful new home. Thank you again for the wonderful dinner, throwing darts, teaching me to knit and listening to old albums on the turntable. We’ll be back!
